Studies show it takes 21 days to be successful in creating healthy habits and the best way to set yourself up for success is to try to focus on one healthy habit at a time. For 21 days, stay away from the sodas, the sugar loaded sports drinks/juices, and all alcohol. You can still enjoy coffee, tea, and water. Give it a try for 21 days and see how you feel! Participating in the September Hydration Challenge by Pilates Instructor Woodland Hills, Kelly Newkirk, you will promote health, improve your skin, increase your energy and help you remove toxins!

When I was in college, I used to drink diet cokes, sports drinks, juices, and even iced tea with sweet n low. Now, educated in Nutrition, certified as a Primal Health Coach, and a Pilates Instructor Woodland Hills, I know these beverages are loaded with artificial sweeteners and chemicals and not made for our bodies. Now, I choose to drink coffee, tea, water, or wine. In September and January, my husband Adam and I do a 21 day detox, which includes no alcohol for 21 days. It happens right before our Anniversary/Birthday vacation and right after the holidays! I challenge you to skip the sugar laden drinks and alcohol for 21 days in September.

Practice intuitive drinking. Keep water with you and drink it throughout the day.  Hydration plays an important role in energy and concentration. If you are craving a soda, sweet beverage, or even some wine at night, try some sparkling mineral water and add some lemon or lime.
